Electricity Sector Council

Prism Economics is currently undertaking a major human resources development strategy for the renewable energy industry.  The objective of the Building Bright Green Futures project is to develop a stakeholder supported human resources development and human resources planning strategy for the renewable energy sector.  This strategy will be founded on a clear and persuasive analysis of the current and emerging human resources needs in the renewable energy sector.  Those needs will be determined by three drivers: (1) new technologies in the renewable energy field, (2) the overall demand trajectory for electricity which will reflect both economic trends and the efficiency impact of smart grid technologies, and (3) the renewable sector’s role in meeting the demand for electricity which will be shaped by relative costs and the regulatory environment.
