1)              Managing Consultant

Start Date:                  Immediately

Hours:                         Full time

Experience / Skills:    Applicants should have a graduate degree in economics, business, industrial relations or related fields, with a strong background in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.   A minimum of ten years of relevant experience is required, preferably in a research-based consulting environment.  Extensive experience in project management, quantitative analysis and research is necessary.  Practical experience is required in preparing proposals, reports and communications materials, and working with statistics, economic data and modelling, and surveys.  Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential and applicants will be asked to provide examples of written material.  Bilingual ability in English and French is preferred.  Our clients are frequently labour-management groups; experience and sensitivity around industrial relations is important.  The successful applicant will be creative, curious and mature.

 Job Description:         The Managing Consultant will work closely with the Managing Director, Partners and consultants on a series of consulting assignments and business development initiatives.  The managing consultant will be responsible for business development, managing client accounts, supervising consulting assignments, liaising with clients, preparing proposals and writing reports.  The Managing Consultant will design and implement research projects which utilize economic information, forecasts and models, and primary and secondary data sources.  The consultant will conduct interviews, and run focus groups.  Some travel will be involved.  This is a permanent, full time, senior position with the opportunity for advancement.

The successful applicant will be creative, curious and mature.

 Job Description:         The Research Analyst Intern will work closely with the Managing Director, Partners and Senior Consultants on a series of consulting assignments.  The research analyst Intern will work in teams to help undertake projects, write reports, and work with economic information, forecasts, economic models and large data bases.  The analyst will be trained to conduct telephone interviews and run focus groups. Some travel will be involved.  This is a one-year, full time, entry level position.
