Prism has four active partners, a managing consultant, a senior consultant, two researchers and additional regular associates working on both long and short-term assignments.

Job Description: The Research Consultant will work closely with the Managing Director, Partners and Senior staff on a series of consulting assignments including proposal and report writing. The researcher will support and lead research projects, write reports, and work with economic information, forecasts, economic models and large databases. The researcher consultant will also liaise with clients, conduct interviews, run focus groups, give presentations, manage projects, and support strategic advisory engagements. Some travel will be involved. For the right candidate this is a permanent, full time position with the opportunity for advancement. Depending on the experience and background of the individual applicants, we may offer a one-year contract position instead, but such a one-year contract could lead to permanent employment
Experience / Skills: Applicants should have a graduate degree in economics, business, industrial relations, public policy or related fields, with some background in both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Applicants with a degree in other social science fields will be considered provided they are able to demonstrate suitable research and analytical skills. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in economics, policy or consulting is required.
Candidates should possess exceptional writing abilities and research skills related to economics, industrial relations, and public policy. We are looking for candidates with practical experience writing reports and preparing communications materials (including data visualizations) for government funded projects. Candidates should be comfortable working with statistics and economic data. Experience with labour market issues and analysis is also an asset. Bilingual ability in English and French is preferred. We work with employers, unions and labour-management groups so some experience and sensitivity around industrial relations is also important. The successful applicant will be creative, curious and mature.
Compensation: To be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
