The Research Analyst will work closely with the Managing Partner, Partners and Senior Consultants on a series of consulting assignments and business development initiatives including proposal writing. The Research Analyst will be trained to provide analytical support, conduct telephone interviews and run focus groups. Some travel will be involved. This is a permanent, full time, entry level position with the opportunity for advancement.
Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in business, economics or related fields. A graduate degree in economics, industrial relations or related fields is an asset but not required. Some labour economics courses would be an advantage. Some consulting experienceis desirable but not essential. Quantitative and research skills are important including practical experience with statistics, sources of standard economic data, graphics and analysis. Software skills would include Excel, Word, Access, Power Point and related packages. Experience with library and Internet search procedures isimportant. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential and applicants will be asked to provide examples of written material. Our clients are frequently labour-management groups and some experience and sensitivity around industrial relations is important. The successful applicant will be creative, curious and mature.
