Fernando TraficanteFERNANDO TRAFICANTE (Managing Director)

Fernando Traficante is Managing Director and a Partner at Prism Economics and Analysis.  He is an accomplished economist and policy professional with significant experience as an economic researcher, analyst, policy developer and program manager.  Fernando Traficante joined Prism Economics and Analysis after a career in the Ontario Public Service where he was responsible for consultation, policy and issues management for numerous sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, construction, information technology and services sectors.  He has an M.A. in Economics from York University and an MBA from the University of Toronto.   Email: traficante@prismeconomics.com

 

Bill EmpeyBILL EMPEY (Partner)

Bill Empey is a Partner at Prism Economics and Analysis.  Mr. Empey is a founder of Prism Economic and Analysis, and previously was Managing Director of the firm.  He has held executive positions at mid-sized and large consulting firms for over 20 years. Mr. Empey has secured faculty appointments at two Ontario universities, where has has taught economics courses. He has also designed and delivered economics courses for the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO). Mr. Empey holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Boston College) with a specialization in econometric analysis, as well as a MA in Economics from Concordia University.  Email: empey@prismeconomics.com

 

 JOHN O’GRADY (Partner)

John O’Grady is a Partner at Prism Economics and Analysis. Prior to launching a full-time consulting career in 1990, he worked for the Ontario Federation of Labour, the Canadian Labour Congress, the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, and the Economic Council of Canada. Mr. O’Grady has prepared wage arbitration submissions for several construction unions, and has also represented a number of police associations in wage disputes. During “social contract” negotiations, Mr. O’Grady was an advisor to the Ontario Association of Physicians and Dentists in Public Service. He has taught industrial relations courses at two Ontario universities, and is the author of several published articles on industrial relations and human resource management issues. Mr. O’Grady has served as an executive member for various research and social organizations such as the North-South Institute, the Institute for Work and Health, ORTECH Corporation.  Email: ogrady@prismeconomics.com

 

Bob Collins BOB COLLINS (Partner) 

Bob Collins is a Partner at Prism Economics and Analysis. He has a M.A. in Economics from Dalhousie University and over ten years experience as a consultant and business economist. Mr. Collins specializes in industry, policy and economic analysis. He has extensive experience in the construction industry, and has worked closely with the Ontario Construction Secretariat since its inception.

ADAM CYWINSKI (Partner)

Adam Cywinski is a Partner at Prism Economics and Analysis. He has an M.A. in Labour Studies from McMaster University and a B.A (honors) in Economics from York University. Prior to joining Prism, Adam worked as a Market Research Analyst with the Ontario Construction Secretariat and an Analyst with Export Development Canada. Adam’s experience includes: labour market modeling, providing analyses of construction market conditions, developing surveys, and conducting various research studies related many aspects of construction, including extensive work in the area of trades training and apprenticeship.

KEN DELANEY (Partner)

Ken Delaney is a Partner at Prism Economics and Analysis.  He is an accomplished management, policy, and labour relations professional with significant experience in business, union and not for profit environments.  Prior to joining Prism he was the Executive Assistant to the National Director of the Steelworkers Union.  He also has ten years of experience managing a private equity fund that invested in mid-sized Ontario based businesses, and has extensive experience advocating public policy positions for the Steelworkers Union and other groups.  He is also currently the Executive Director of the Canadian Steel Trade and Employment Congress, a member of the Public Policy Forum Board of Directors, and serves as Industry Liaison and Special Advisor in the Faculty of Social Science at McMaster University.  Mr. Delaney has a B.A. and a B. CHEYENNE MARTIN (Managing Consultant)

Cheyenne Martin is a Managing Consultant at Prism Economics and Analysis. At Prism he has been involved in project management and data analysis for governments and labour organizations, providing research support, quantitative analysis and advice. Prior to joining Prism he worked independently on financial market analysis for RBC, carbon cost impact analysis with EnviroEconomics and business due diligence with Castlemain Group. He worked as a Senior Socio-Economist for Golder Associates focusing on impact assessment and cost benefit analysis and as an Economist for AMEC E&I focusing on impact assessment and qualitative research. MICHAEL TRACEY (Consultant)

Michael is a Consultant with Prism Economics and Analysis.  Michael holds an M.A. in History from the University of Windsor.  Previously he worked as a project coordinator with a not-for-profit organization in Windsor conducting research into labour market and gender equity issues.  Michael has conducted research on skilled trades and apprencticeship, facilitated focus groups, and conducted qualitative and quantitative research on labour market and workforce issues.  Email: tracey@prismeconomics.com

 

Simon Burru

SIMON BURRU (Consultant)

Simon Burru is a Consultantt with Prism Economics and Analysis. He holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. in Biotechnology/Economics (joint honours) from the University of Waterloo. Prior to joining Prism, Simon has worked as a teaching Assistant at the Vancouver School of Economics, where he simplified macroeconomic concepts for students, and as a Research Associate with the National Research Council of Canada, investigating the economic impact of alternative fuel technologies. Christine Newton (Associate Consultant)

Christine Newton is an Associate with Prism Economics and Analysis. She has a M.B.A. and has completed program requirements to the dissertation stage of a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management/Labour Relations from McMaster University. She also has a Bachelor of Education degree and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Claire Grégoire Claire Grégoire (Associate Consultant)

Claire Grégoire is an Associate with Prism Economics and Analysis. She has considerable experience with the construction industry in Quebec, having worked with the Commission de la Construction du Québec (CCQ) for an extensive number of years.
